Stephanie Richman
Assistant Dean for Career Development

Dean Richman is responsible for all law school career services activities.  She conducts career counseling, seminars and workshops.  She received her B.A. in philosophy from Lehigh University, M.A. in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and her J.D. summa cum laude from Temple University School of Law.  Prior to joining Rutgers, she was an associate in the asset-backed financing group of Vedder, Price, Kaufman & Kammolz, PC in New York.  Before that, Dean Richman worked as an associate for Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP in both Philadelphia and New York.  She was also the law clerk to the late Hon. Robert S. Gawthrop III of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Elizabeth Acevedo
Associate Director for Career Development

Ms. Acevedo works with students on all aspects of career planning and manages the judicial clerkship application program.  She received her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and her B.S. in Political Science from the University of Scranton.  Prior to joining Rutgers School of Law-Newark, Ms. Acevedo served as the Deputy Bureau Chief of the Domestic Violence Bureau in the Office of the Bronx District Attorney.  She served as a trial assistant in the Domestic Violence, Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Bureau; a trial assistant in the Domestic Violence Bureau, where she was the lead prosecutor in jury and bench trials and suppression hearings; and as Supervisor before her promotion to Deputy Chief.  Ms. Acevedo oversaw the internship program in the Domestic Violence Bureau, and conducted dozens of interviews for office-wide positions.  She has presented C.L.E. courses on trial advocacy topics and grand jury presentations.

Frances De Simone
Assistant Director for Career Development

Ms. De Simone spearheads the office's employer outreach efforts, as well as provides a wide range of career development services to students and alumni.  Ms. De Simone is a 2001 magna cum laude graduate of both Rutgers Law-Newark and Rutgers Business School, from which she received an M.B.A. in finance.  She graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University-Newark with a B.S. in finance and a B.A. in political science.  After receiving her J.D., she joined Goodwin Procter LLP as an associate in its New York office.  Her general corporate practice focused on mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments.  Associated with leading legal recruiting firms in New York and New Jersey for more than 10 years, Ms. De Simone has managed all phases of the hiring cycle for in-house counsel, associates and partners and advised candidates with regard to job searches, career planning, interview techniques, and feedback received from potential employers.
