2012 IndyBar Diversity Job Fair

Are you passionate about starting your career in a Midwestern city that has both cosmopolitan style and small-town charm? Looking to meet legal employers from large, medium and small firms, as well as government agencies, corporations and members of the judiciary? Get a jump start on creating lasting relationships at the 2012 IndyBar Diversity Job Fair.

The IndyBar Diversity Job Fair seeks candidates who represent all aspects of diversity, who are looking for a one-of-a-kind legal community in a Midwestern city that has both cosmopolitan style and small-town charm. We cordially invite fall 2012 full-time 2L students (graduating May 2014) or part-time 2L and 3L (graduating Dec 2014/May 2015) to participate in the fifth annual IndyBar Diversity Job Fair to be held July 26-27, 2012.

Employers will be hiring clerks or interns, not offering permanent placement; they will expect to interview 2Ls or those graduating spring 2013/2014 based on full or part-time status.

Destination Employment: In 2011, 25 employers extended 34 employment offers and 20% of 78 student participants will work in Indianapolis this summer. With 20% more employers participating in 2012, we look forward to your networking and interviewing success.

Student registration deadline is June 18, 2012. Students, register via Symplicity by clicking here.  After you register, a password will be provided to you, which enables you to use the system throughout the next few months. This will be different than an OCI password. There is NO FEE for students to participate in the IndyBar Diversity Job Fair. Bidding will take place June 18-22, 2012.

Interviews at the Job Fair are arranged as follows: 10 of the 14 interviews will be pre-selected by the employer; the other four interviews will be assigned according to interest of the student. All interviews will be conducted at the Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites in meeting suites.

Students will have a maximum of seven interviews, but will have the additional opportunities to meet and network with employers at the Welcome Reception on Thursday, July 26 or during the Keynote Lunch on Friday, July 27.
